Class descriptions

Vinyasa

Our vinyasa classes are fast paced, flowy and fun! Each vinyasa class will provide high energy music and fresh sequences to inspire creativity, warm the body and move intentionally to the rhythm of your breath. These classes are suitable for all levels, but some yoga experience is recommended.

Hatha

Hatha is a Sanskrit word that can be broken down into two smaller words: ha, meaning “sun,” and tha, meaning “moon.” This practice uses the solar and lunar energies of each breath to create strength and flexibility in the body. Each asana (pose) is held for a substantial duration, which makes it an excellent practice for beginners, or those seeking a balanced yoga practice.

yin

Yin is a Chinese word representing the feminine or negative polarity in nature. Yin classes consist of very few postures, in which yogis may unwind into long and deep stretches to shift fascia and move qi (energy) through the meridians of the body. Think about it like a full body massage, or needle-free acupuncture treatment!

meditation

Meditation is the harmonious condition of body and mind resulting from focused attention, or concentration. Our meditation classes will offer a variety of meditation techniques, as well as the space to cultivate mindfulness, peace and community for your morning ritual and beyond.

Mom + Baby

Mom and baby yoga is a class to support moms bodies, hearts and minds in the challenging time of parenting a baby. With baby on the mat or in our arms, we will work on strengthening, stretching, core support, deep breathing and relaxation. We will engage in necessary self-care to calm the mind, care for the heart and increase well-being. We will be with other moms and babies in community to connect and share our experiences and resources. This class welcomes feeding, diaper changing, and tending to whatever baby needs.

Restorative

Restorative yoga is the gentle class that enables a feeling of being supported through various postures using props.  Students will be able to come into a new level of rest within their bodies. When we experience a sense of being held our nervous system is able to shift into “rest and digest mode”.  This increases our ability to have a healthy immune system, build fresh blood cells, properly digest and absorb food nutrients, and much more! This class is a great way to kick off your weekend by allowing yourself to transition from the stress of the busy week to a presence of rest.

Community

Our community yoga classes are donation based. All people from all skill levels are welcome! Classes will be taught by new teachers, and will include a variety of yoga styles and practices.

vinyasa 2

Our Vinyasa Level 2 class explores playful strength, balance, and deepening of asana postures! This class integrates breath work, creative vinyasa, standing balances, arm balances, backbends, and inversions! A fun way to level up your practice as some yoga experience is recommended.

Slow Flow

Slow Flow will help you find the space between poses while still retaining the gentle rhythm of a flow yoga class. A slower pace allows time to refine fundamentals of alignment and more fully explore sensations. The pacing will be accessible for newer students as well as those with more experience.

Yinyasa

Yinyasa is a fusion of yin and yang asanas: move your energy through your meridians during 15 minutes of deep stretching, and then complete the practice with a vigorous, full body vinyasa flow. Practice ends in stillness and meditation. Suitable for all levels, but some experience is recommended. Wear something comfortable that you can stretch and sweat in!

Bhakti FLOW

Bhakti is enriched with the sacred karmic devotion to yoga. Honoring love in its highest vibration, we will move our bodies through a flow, while we chant and sing mantra cultivated by the East. Energizing medicine for the soul.
This is an all levels class that brings you closer to the Anahata (heart) chakra and invites you to play, find freedom in movement and connect deeper within the subtle anatomy of the body.
